CelebriTeachers
CelebriTeachers is a periodical feature that recognizes teachers around the country who have won awards or other recognition. Each week we highlight recently honored teachers (a.k.a CelebriTeachers) from a different state, though our ever-expanding database is always available. If a teacher you know has recently won an award or received press coverage for excellence in teaching, we want to hear about it. Please email us so we can add him or her to our CelebriTeachers database. See below for the current edition or search the database by entering a name, place, subject, grade level, or other keyword. You may also browse CelebriTeachers alpabetically.

| Cathy Bullington Grade 8 |
Bedford Middle School Bedford, Indiana |
Art teacher Cathy Bullington helped her eighth grade students see the connection between art and science by using InspireData and Inspiration to teach the Japanese art of Shibori (stitched resist dyeing). Using the visual learning software tools, they explored the technical aspects of dyeing cloth and learned how to reproduce color matches, create special technical effects and control their results. Her scholarship will support the purchase of a laptop and video camera for her students to use to create how-to art videos. |
