More articulate than Shakespeare, possessing the amazing ability to recommend only books that I like, and able to read books faster than a speeding bullet, it’s Mrs. Yingling! Sh made my transition from elementary to middle school easier and is always there with several recommendations. In fact, EVERY book I’ve read this year has been suggested by her! She will also discuss books with students and makes it fun! She’s reading all the library’s fiction books in alphabetical order—and is on the M’s. She keeps a blog of every book she’s reading. She sings songs on the announcements including “The Overdue Blues” and “The Reading Song.” She rides her bike to school EVERY day, even in rain or snow. She carries her books in the baby seat, covering them up when it rains. If you use the library as a short cut between classes, she asks you what you’re doing. The only reply she’ll accept is, “I’m gazing upon your radiant beauty!” Somehow this cuts useless library traffic a lot! In short, I think Mrs. Yingling deserves the Super Hero Teacher Award because she is positive and charismatic and goes to any length to get everyone a good book!
