Empowerment Fund Awarded to Teacher
Last year our friends at Jones New York created the Empowerment Fund to serve as a catalyst to help women reach their personal, professional and community goals. Whether they’ve got a great start up business idea, need support in taking their business to the next level or are interested in taking certification classes– the Empowerment Fund was designed to help women reach their goals. One of the Empowerment Fund winners is Dimity Kirwan who has started an organization called Go Beyond Teaching. Please click to learn more.
Go Beyond Teaching is a fast-growing online community of teachers seeking extra work as tutors and caregivers. Currently the group connects teachers with parents who are looking for skilled and knowledgeable individuals to work with their children in the New York area. As you know teachers and children are near and very dear to us and we at TeachersCount and Jones New York would love to help Ms. Kirwan elevate and broaden her audience. Please join JNY on August 20, 2011 for The Educare Fair, a Jones New York sponsored event, and connect with parents and teachers in New York City.
