- August 2007—Proceeds of DHL-commissioned Zac Posen bag benefit TeachersCount
- As a sponsor of FashionWeekLive, DHL, the global delivery network, has commissioned a special-edition Zac Posen bag to celebrate this fall's Fashion Week and to raise funds for TeachersCount. The limited-edition, messenger-style bag is now for sale online at www.toteforteachers.org, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to TeachersCount. DHL and Zac Posen are raising additional funds for TeachersCount at several fashion-related events this fall.

- Fashion designer Zac Posen has signed on as the newest face in the "Behind Every Famous Person Is a Fabulous Teacher" Campaign. His English teacher, Jane Avrich, works at St. Ann's School in Brooklyn and is also the author of The Winter Without Milk: Stories.
- May 2007—TeachersCount launches new series of PSAs
- In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, TeachersCount and Jones New York In The Classroom launched a new series of ads in the "Behind Every Famous Person Is a Fabulous Teacher" Campaign. The newest famous faces to join the campaign are actors America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos); musician Chris "Ludacris" Bridges; CEOs Peter Boneparth (Jones Apparel Group) and Kenneth Chenault (American Express); and TV personalities Dayna Devon (Extra) and Al Roker (The Today Show).
- May 2007—TeachersCount teams up with Chalk, the film
- TeachersCount has partnered with the makers of the new movie Chalk to help promote this funny and telling film about teachers and raise funds in support of the teaching profession. Made in the style of The Office and the films of Christopher Guest (e.g. Best in Show), Chalk is a spirited portrait of life in the trenches of teaching. Chalk is presented by Morgan Spurlock, the director of Super Size Me, and will hit theaters in select locations beginning May 11. A portion of the proceeds of Chalk will benefit TeachersCount.
- April 2007—Dayna Devon joins TeachersCount as Spokesperson
- Dayna Devon, the co-host of Extra, has signed on as the Spokesperson for TeachersCount. As Spokesperson, Ms. Devon is sharing her passion for the TeachersCount cause on CNN Local Edition in Southern California this spring. In her interview, she discusses the need for the public to have more appreciation and respect for teachers. Ms. Devon will also interview some celebrities and their teachers from the “Behind Every Famous Person Is a Fabulous Teacher” Campaign on Extra. Additionally, she will appear as a famous face in the TeachersCount campaign.
- April 2007—“CelebriTeachers” launches
- TeachersCount has officially launched CelebriTeachers, a new online feature designed to highlight award-winning teachers across the country. Each week, teachers from a different state are highlighted, though the database of teachers is always searchable. To notify TeachersCount of a US K-12 teacher who’s received a teaching award, please send an email to celebriteachers@teacherscount.org.
- February 2007—New faces, including NFL Teacher of the Year, join TeachersCount campaign
- Several new famous faces have recently joined the "Behind Every Famous Person Is a Fabulous Teacher" Campaign, including Peter Boneparth (CEO, Jones Apparel Group), Kenneth Chenault (CEO, American Express), Curtis Martin (running back, the New York Jets), Will Shields (guard, the Kansas City Chiefs), and Michelle Snow (WNBA player, the Houston Comets). For the ad featuring Will Shields, TeachersCount traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the 2007 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl and produced the ad with him and Charlotte Gagliardi, his vocal music teacher and the NFL Teacher of the Year. Diana Burroughs, the Executive Director of TeachersCount, represented TeachersCount at the Pro Bowl pre-game show by joining Ms. Gagliardi and Mr. Shields as her award was announced and the pair were presented as the newest faces in the TeachersCount Campaign. As part of the announcement, Time Inc., which has donated millions of dollars worth of ad space, and Jones New York In The Classroom, which underwrites the production costs of the ads, were recognized as the campaign's sponsors. The ad is scheduled to run in the February 26 issue of of Sports Illustrated.
